Denied permission to hoist national flag, Kishtwar college student held protest against college management

Jammu, Apr 24: The students of Government Degree College Kishtwar today held a strong protest against college management after they denied the permission to the group of students who wants to hoist the national flag within the college premises as a symbol of nationalism and to inculcate the spirit of patriotism among the students.
As per the details available with "Early Times", following written submission address the college Principal on 22-4-2019, the students allege that they are noticing that a lot of anti national activities area taking place in whole state, including in District Kishtwar and as such they want to hoist the National flag within the college premises to promote the patriotism among the students.
The students in the written application clarified that they were in no mean had seen it a matter of any conflict and further inform the college management that they are ready to wait for 1-2 days so that college management could take appropriate and favorable steps to ensure the decision into their favour.
After finding no positive response from the college management, the students today again approach the college Principal demanding answer from him about the written submission by them with regard to the permission to hoist the National flag, the students allege that same was denied as a result of which they were force to held strong protest against college management.
Speaking over the issue, the agitating students allege that college management shows non serious approach towards granting permission to them to hoist the National Flag added that hoisting the National flag is a right of duty not only for them but also for the college management.
They said that the college management while denying the permission linked the same as an attempt to communalize the situation.
"How hoisting of National flag could be a communalism-college management should and must understand the difference between the communalism and the Nationalism-our application has been virtually thrown into dustbin by the college management-We are unaware about who the anti national forces that are governing the college" said the angry student.
The students said that after denying permission to them, they on its own took the decision and defy the college management dictates and instead hoisted the flags at the main entrance of the college gate.
"What they (College Management) can do - they can rusticate us and for that we are ready-for the sake of upholding of National flag" said another angry student.
Speaking to "Early Times", the college Principal Pawan Kumar Sharma denied the allegations of the student added that the students who had come with the written application to him were inform that the college management will take an appropriate steps with regard to proper hoisting of National flag at some selective place.
He said that the students were inform that the matter pertains to college management and it is the responsibility of the college management to select an appropriate place for regular hoisting of the National flag and many among the students were though agreed to the case presented by the college management, but later they held the protest and restore to sloganeering.
The students who were raising patriotic, Pro RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma, Parihar brothers, anti Pakistan and anti separatist slogans and slam the administration and police for their failure to arrest the killers of nationalist people who are still at large even after 15 days.
