Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 15: As if appearing before National Investigation Agency for questioning in terror funding case is like-picnic that senior separatist leader Zaffar Akbar Bhat posed for picture outside the NIA headquarters in the national capital.
Zaffar Akbar Bhat, who also heads Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, has posed for picture outside the NIA office in New Delhi where he was summoned in connection with terror funding case.
His supporters have been sharing the pictures along with the NIA summon already served to him on their social media account and the same is going viral.
The people are asking that what message do such separatists want to give by posing for pictures outside government offices and if it was supposed to be like "Khala Ji Ka Ghar."
The separatist leader in question in the past was reportedly seen doing such dramas in press enclave in Srinagar where he once created artificial jail and got himself posed as imprisoned for pictures.
"Taking pictures is only fun for publicity for them," said a political observer in Kashmir.
The NIA has already gone for a major crackdown on the separatists in Kashmir. While many of them have been arrested, their properties are also under scanner.
As per sources around 20 properties of top Hurriyat leaders have been identified by investigative agencies as part of the crackdown on terror funding in the valley.
Ten properties of Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali, who is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail in a terror funding case being probed by the NIA have been reportedly listed out.
The NIA has already arrested some of the top Hurriyat leaders in 2017. Those include Zahoor Watali, Aftab Ahmed, Bitta Karatey, Naeem Khan and Shabir Shah.
While Mirwaiz was recently questioned by the NIA, Zaffar Akbar Bhat was summoned for the second time by the NIA.
Despite repeated attempts, Bhat couldn't be contacted for comments.
