3 BoDs shoot warning letter to GM over failure to take possession of Innova-Crysta
Chairman CMS Kathua loses confidence of board
6/15/2019 11:33:53 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15: Launching an open revolt against Chairman of Cooperative Marketing Society Kathua (CMSK), three out of four Board of Directors (BoDs) have shot a warning letter to General Manager over his failure to take possession of Innova Crysta vehicle, allegedly in illegal possession of the Chairman.
According to sources the CMS have four Board of Directors, out of which three (majority) have become averse to the working of Chairman and have also passed a no-confidence motion against him.
The three BoDs Karan Singh, Ravinder Singh and Ranbir Singh, have apprised the Registrar Cooperatives about their loss of confidence in Chairman of Society Rajinder Singh.
On 7th of June, they had handed over a copy of resolution along with copy of no-confidence motion passed by them against the chairman. After their copy, the Deputy Registrar Cooperatives had directed General Manager of Society Kathua vide order number DR/CAD/COOP/199-201 dated 13/6/2019, to take possession of Innova Cysta vehicle, being used personally by the chairman.
Pertinently, Early Times had earlier reported several times about messy affairs of CMS and it was also reported that an Innova Cysta vehicle was purchased by a society for commercial purposes but was being used by Chairman for his personal rides.
Angered over the failure of General Manager Cooperative Society, the three BoDs have now shot a warning letter to General Manager for his failure to take possession. "We the management members (BoDs) are again directing you on the behalf of management of CMS Kathua, to take possession of Vehicle (Innova Crysta) in your custody and in case you fail to do so, then you will be responsible for the loss/damage to the vehicle and that Management of the Society will claim all losses from you personally in the civil court of law", the letter written by BoDs on 15th of June reads.
Sources informed that the General Manager has still been showing reluctance to take possession of the vehicle, due to strong influence of the chairman and given such factors, the BoDs were forced to issue such letter.
