Jammu, July 19: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday asked politicians to stop beating the trumpet about their so-called achievements as everyone knows that they failed to deliver.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "As the elections are approaching the so-called leaders are trying to claim that they have done lot for the people but the ground situation contradicts their claims."
"Most areas in the Jammu region are craving for basic amenities and people have been left to fend on their own. People in all the areas are up in arms against the politicians, who have represented them in the past," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "As the elections are knocking at our doors, these politicians have reappeared on the scene and are trying to tell the people that they are the only ones, who can represent the people."
Munish said, "It seems that politicians are not aware of the fact that Jammu is changing and people don't trust them anymore. The dream merchants have been left with nothing to sell as they stand exposed."
Appealing people to vote for him and remain firm on their resolve for change, Munish said, "I assure you that if I win elections I would ensure that sufferings of people are mitigated and their day to day issues are addressed."
