Understand importance of elections, your vote: Munish to people
7/21/2019 12:30:45 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 20: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Saturday asked people to take the forthcoming Assembly elections seriously.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "All of us need to understand the importance of elections and our vote. By casting our vote in favour of any candidate we provide him/her with an opportunity to represent us for the past five years."
"People who have represented us during all these years have failed to live up to our expectations. They have not been able to solve our day to day problems and have left us is lurch," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "During the past 70-years politicians and leaders have just made tall promises, which they have not been able to fulfil. Many areas in Jammu are without basic amenities. The areas which I have visited during the past few weeks present a dismal picture. People in all these areas are up in arms against the former MLAs and counsellors, who appear during the election season and disappear after getting elected. People have lost faith in the elected representatives and find it hard to believe that their problems will ever be resolved."
"I have to my people with a hope that they would support me and give a chance to serve them. If I win the forthcoming elections I assure my people that I won't let them down and will try my best to solve all the problems which confront them in their daily lives," said Munish.
