Madan Lal demands Statehood for JK
8/13/2019 10:06:51 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 13: Former Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma has demanded that statehood of Jammu & Kashmir should be immediately restored by the Government. The government has demoted the people of Jammu by converting J&K into a UT which is a first of its kind demotion in the history of India. He said that the right of the dogras should be safeguarded by introduction of laws so that the local youth have a right over the jobs in Jammu & Kashmir. The land and ecology of J&K should not be allowed to be eroded by the land mafia which may now come to J&K also. Madan demanded introduction of such laws that non-locals cannot but land like in Himachal Pradesh and this is necessary to protect our farmers who may fall victim to land sharks of adjoining states. Madan also demanded that Dogri language should be made the official language of J&K so that dogra culture, heritage & language is not lost due to influx of people from different states and cultures. The rich Dogra heritage should be protected at all costs so that out future generations can also connect and learn our culture. The government should also clear the air on the existing SRO's especially ALC/IB & RBA as the rumour mongers creating confusion in the mind of people.
