Peace after the Assembly elections
9/5/2019 10:55:09 PM
Nothing can be said about the situation in the Kashmir valley. Has peace dawned on the valley or the incidents of violence may follow the elusive peace? The Kashmir Centric political leaders are determined to fight for the restoration of previous constitutional guarantees and they were waiting for an opportune time to trigger conflict. Since they have been placed under house arrest they are unable to preach people the essence of violence. Still their being placed in house arrest has denied them the liberty of kicking up trouble. They are at their best to spread rumours and the power of rumours have forced scores of students, studying in various technical institutes, to flee from the valley. No doubt the top Government leaders claim that the situation in Kashmir has started improving but the fact is that there is tension and political instability.
The situation will get better once the Assembly elections are held. The Government has left the issue with the election Commission of India and once the Government the Governor give green to the Election Commission of India will fix the schedule.. And the Kashmir centric mainstream political leaders may cry hoarse against the revocation of Article 370 and 35-A. And the removal of Article 35-A has entitled a big industrialists to develop a resort in Kashmir to be once of the best in the world. It will give jobs to the people and the labourers would become happy. Armed forces have started a special recruitment drive for the benefit of the able bodies youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Now that industrialists would be able to set up units in the state assuring educated youth to join the units which could resolve the problem of unemployment.
The situation could become peaceful once the Assembly elections are held. Those who want to contest he elections may try to rake up the issue of revocation of Article 370 and 35-A which is going to help them to get votes. After all the voters have been cheated and they feel that their right to certain constitutional guarantees have been deprived from them.. Hence the Kashmir cent are in the forefront of the battle against the centre voters may support those leaders who are in the news fighting for restoration of Article 370 and 35-A. Those who promise that once they installed their Government they could restore Article 370 and 35-A though it has become part of history which cannot be respected.
