Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 9: Pakistan sponsored terrorists are making every possible attempt to keep the life out of gear in Kashmir. According to the reports, a few private schools in the Valley are trying to bring the students back to the school but the terrorists and their aides have reportedly threatened the school owners of dire consequences if they reopen the educational institutions, which have remained closed since August 5, when the Government of India reorganized Jammu & Kashmir into two Union Territories- J&K and Ladakh.
Media reports state that shops open in morning and evening hours for two hours and remain closed for the entire day in many parts of Kashmir. On the other hand transporters have been pushed to the brink as their vehicles have remained stranded for more than 65 days now.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "The government needs to step in to keep the terrorists and miscreants at bay. They cannot be allowed to take people hostage. People are sitting in their homes due to fear as they apprehend that they could be shot dead for defying the diktats of terrorists."
Referring to the recent decision of the Jammu & Kashmir administration to lift the advisory for tourists and asking them to return to the Valley, the analyst said, "The government will have to end the communication blockade and wind up the miscreants, Pak-sponsored terrorists in the Valley for tourists to return."
An observer said, "Since the day Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan threatened of a blood bath in Kashmir, terrorists are making every attempt to make their presence felt by targeting innocents. People of Kashmir are seeing the real face of terror and the gun wielding terrorists, who are not allowing them to resume their daily chores."
He said, "Sooner or later the terrorists who are intimidating the people will be taken care of but targeting innocents, threatening shopkeepers, transporters and school owners should open the eyes of the sympathizers of terrorists and stone pelters in the Valley."
Another analyst said that the reports which are emanating from the Valley state that people are fed up of the ongoing shut down and are looking for ways and means to resume their daily chores. "Markets in many uptown areas remain open for the entire day due to deployment of the security forces. Few areas in old Srinagar city and outskirts have become trouble spots. But things will change as Kashmir cannot remain closed forever," he added.
