Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 11: A prominent politician of J&K, who was minister in the previous PDP-BJP regime, is working round the clock to form new party by roping in prominent leaders of NC, PDP and Congress. This prominent politician, who is working very seriously to form new political group, was minister from the quota of PDP in the previous regime and had played very important role in formation of previous regime.
Credible sources said that this prominent politician, who has cordial relations with leaders of almost all political parties across J&K, has potential to rope in leaders from different parties. This politician was in Delhi for the quite some time and was in Jammu during the last week. "During his stay at Jammu, this politician met Congress, NC and his former colleagues PDP and discussed future of new political party in J&K", sources said and revealed that the powerful politician has successfully convinced many leaders of NC, PDP and Congress to join the proposed political party.
Credible sources said that Union Government has not opposed the proposal of forming new political party in J&K because Centre has realized that there was a need of a new political group because NC and PDP have already exposed before the masses allegedly for encouraging corruption and nepotism in J&K. It was all due to blessing of the Centre that this politician has initiated the process to form the new party and Union Government has given its consent to the former minister to lure as many as politicians he can,
Credible sources said that many political leaders of PDP, NC and Congress, who are worried about their political future, are of the opinion that Centre is very particular to provide an alternative in J&K so it is better to join the proposal political party.
"In first stage many leaders from PDP are going to join new party because there is feeling among many potential leaders that only a family and coterie is running the party and most of the senior leaders are feeling humiliated and insulted by communal elements so it is better to join the new group", sources said and added that leader who is working to form new party, had played very important role in the formation of PDP when former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had taken the step to quit Congress in 1999.
