JAMMU, Nov 15: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Saturday said that Jammu & Kashmir has already witnessed a transition and is heading towards development.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Jeevan Nagar, Munish said, "The ball is in our court and we have to ensure that we join the caravan of change and lay a strong foundation of new Jammu."
Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, said, "Opportunity is knocking at our door and we should utilize it by adapting to the change."
Munish said, "Electing our representatives is in our hands and we have to ensure that we cast our vote in favour of the candidate who can live upto our expectations." He said, "The leaders who represented us in the past acted as second fiddles, and made no attempt to plead Jammu's cause. They remained content with whatever they got. Now the times have changed and so have the people. No leader can ignore the aspirations of Jammu people and leave them to fend for themselves. Whosoever gets elected will have to ensure that people get what they deserve."
Munish said that if he wins the upcoming elections he will make sure that people are not left alone. "I will stand by my people come what may," he added.
