1/23/2020 10:28:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 23: Expressing disappointment over Police role to handle Kidnapping case of the minor girl, the Sub Judge Jammu Pawan Kumar Sharma directed SHO Gandhi Nagar Jammu register the case under relevant provisions of law. Meanwhile, the court has also sent copy of the complaint along with court's order to SSP Jammu for compliance.
According to copy complaint filed before the Court of Sub Judge Jammu, Ramuya father of the kidnapped minor girl Pooja had alleged that on January 7, 2020 his daughter was kidnapped by the accused persons namely Sonu, Ramesh, Chottu, Bal Krishan, Sunder, Mohan and others. “We waited a whole day when our daughter did not return home. We rushed to Police Post Digana and registered out complaint”, Ramuta mentioned in his complaint filed in the court of Sub- Judge Jammu.
The father of the kidnapped girl alleged that concerned Police had registered FIR against the accused persons nor have taken any action against them.
“Earlier, the same offences were committed by the above said accused persons and FIR stands registered against the accused persons at Trikuta Nagar Police Station for molesting, kidnapping and raping his minor daughter”, he alleged.
Ramuya also accused SSP Jammu of ignoring his complaint regarding police role to handle the case.
“The Police authorities concerned are duty-bound to register the FIR and take the case to a logical conclusion. The accused must be brought to justice. Accordingly SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar is directed to register the case under relevant provisions of law”, Sub-Judge Jammu mentioned in his order and added, “I’m unhappy with the role of police so far, because a minor girl has been kidnapped. The fact that the victim has been kidnapped on earlier occasion also makes this offence even more grave. Therefore SSJ Jammu is also directed to initiate enquiry against concerned Police officer, who has not acted in accordance with law till date and delayed the matter.”
Sub Inspector, Sandeep Bhagat in-charge Police Post Digana when contacted said that a case of kidnapping stands register. “A case against accused persons identified by the father of kidnapped minor girl stands register under section 363-IPC vide FIR No 10/2020”, he said, adding that Police have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding accused persons.
