SSP Kishtwar inaugurates T-20 Cricket C'ship

Kishtwar, Feb 24: Police Martyr Dy. SP Aman Kumar memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2019-20 was inaugurated in a cheerful and mesmerizing ambience at Sports Stadium Chowgan Ground Kishtwar. SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta JKPS inaugurated the Championship in presence of Commander 9 Sector RR Brigardior Vikarm Bhan, CO CRPF Suresh Kumar, CO IRP 22 Bn Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, Addl SP Kishtwar Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, Dy. SP DAR Iftikhar Ahmed, Dy. SP Hqrs Sunny Gupta, Dy. SP Davinder Singh and other officers from Civil and Police administration and other sister agencies. Shaheed Welfare Committee, respectables of Kishtwar, retired police officers, families of Police Martyrs and large number of youth also thronged sports stadium Chowgan Ground Kishtwar with enthusiasm on the occasion.
A Martyr memorial parade was also held on the occasion to commemorate the Ist anniversary of martyrdom of Shaheed DYSP Shri Aman Thakur. SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta Spoke about brilliance and courage displayed by Shaheed DySP Aman Thakur while fighting with hardcore terrorists at Turigam village of Kulgam district on 24th of February 2019 . SSP Kishtwar along with other officers also paid floral tributes to martyr DySP Aman Kumar Thakur. While inaugurating cricket tournament, SSP Kishtwar exhorted that Police will continue its efforts to promote sports to channelize energy of youth in positive directions, to keep youth away from drugs and to provide higher platform to youth of area to compete in the field of sports.
