Leading fight at forefront against COVID-19 pandemic in her Panchayat

RAJOURI, Apr 9: As the world reels from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, there are many working tirelessly at the forefront to tackle the challenge.
A female Sarpanch of Panchayat Manjakote in district Rajouri, Samreen Khan, is also leading the battle against the deadly virus by giving her hundred percent in these testing times.
The devotion and dedication of this young Sarpanch, who is just 24 years old and the youngest Sarpanch, has been drawing the attention of the people of not only Manjakote but of other blocks also.
During these difficult times of lockdown due to spread of COVID-19, Samreen has been helping the poor and needy by providing them with essential commodities every day, moreover, she also distributes masks among the people.
Khan has been continuously creating awareness about the coronavirus by visiting the people of her panchayat door to door. She has set an example for the other girls to come into politics and contributes for the betterment of the society. She has been getting huge appreciation of the people for her efforts and carrying out many development works in her Panchayats, which were lingering on since long. She personally visits various departments as well as the district administration Rajouri to take up the issues of general public. She considers former Union Minister Shushma Swaraj as her role model and wants to become a political leader like her.
Samreen Khan appealed the girls to come forward and join hands to fight COVID-19 in their area, which is considered as one of backward areas in the district. Even district administration as well as Police appreciated her efforts in helping the people by doing social work.
In order to realize her passion of becoming politician and doing social work for the people of her area, Samreen Khan successfully fought Panchayat elections and became youngest female Sarpanch of Panchayat Manjakote and now participating actively in fighting against coronavirus.
Pertinently, Samreen Khan has done Diploma in BSc Nursing and it has been her desire and aim to become politician since her childhood. She got an opportunity, when the seat of Sarpanch in her Panchayat was reserved for females and decided to fight elections for the post of Sarpanch and successfully won by defeating many other women contestants. Despite being Sarpanch, she is also BJP District Secretary.
