|38 fresh positive cases, one recovered in north Kashmir|

BARAMULLA, May 27: Thirty Eight fresh positive cases were reported today in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of north Kashmir, where as one have recovered in Bandipora. According to district wise break up, 26 positive cases were reported in Kupwara, 122 are positive, in Baramulla 10 fresh positive cases have been reported, while as 51 are active positive cases and in Bandipora 02 fresh positive cases were reported and 12 are active positive cases, while as 01 have also recovered. Meanwhile in Baramulla district, eleven shops were sealed for violating prohibitory orders, according to the statement that, acting on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr GN Itoo, a team of officers headed by Assistant Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Rafiq Lone inspects several locations of main market Baramulla in order to take review of the implementation of various COVID-19 related advisories especially observing lockdown and other related guidelines.
On the occasion, ACR sealed about 11 shops for violating the prohibitory orders and warned of strict legal against those indulging in lockdown violations. He also rebuked some persons for not using face masks and warned them to use the same failing which shall render legal action against the violators.
Whereas, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, today, inspected several locations of main market Bandipora in order to take stock of the implementation of various COVID-19 related advisories.
According to an order, issued by the district administration on May 25, the business establishments have been classified in two categories –Essential-I and Essential-II.
Under Essential-I category, shops including medical, bakery, milk, vegetable, fruit, meat and poultry will remain open daily from 9 am to 5 pm while the shops coming under Essential-II category will remain open on alternate days to avoid rush in the market and on Sunday all the shops will remain closed.
