13 persons including 11 from NHPC hospital quarantine sent back to homes

Kishtwar, May 28: After carrying a news report regarding delay in arrival of test reports of people with travel history from outside Union Territory of the inmates lodged at quarantine centers, the Kishtwar administration today released 13 persons including 11 persons who were kept in quarantine facility center at NHPC Hospital after completion of requisite quarantine period of 14 days.
As per the details available with Early Times, even after collecting the samples 15 days ago- the reports of some of the people kept in quarantine center NHPC hospital were awaited as a result of which the release of all the inmates kept inside the said quarantine center causes huge resentment among them.
As soon as the matter was brought into the notice of Early Times by the aggrieved persons kept in quarantine at NHPC Hospital, the matter was immediately taken up with the concerned authorities who today ensure the release of all the people kept in quarantine at NHPC Hospital.
After being set free from the quarantine center, those released express their gratitude for taking up the matter with the concern officials ensuring their release today added that the 16 days they spent in quarantine are nightmare for them which they want to forget.
Meanwhile, reports of delay in arrival of reports as well as collection of samples are pouring from various areas of Kishtwar District. 14 persons from Dachhan kept at Drabshalla quarantine center said that even after spending 10 days at quarantine center, no sample of theirs has been collected.
Senior officials in Kishtwar told the Early Times that the collection of samples has been delayed due to non availability of the COVID 19 test kits at the laboratory dealing with the sample testing pertaining to Kishtwar district.
The officials said that they are in touch with them and as and when the test kits will be available to them, the sampling will be done added that they are hopeful that the kits will be made available by tomorrow.
In another significant development, the 19 year old Doda positive girl was today sent back to home after her three repeated test found out to be negative. Senior officials of Doda Administration including DC Doda were present when she was set free from the Doda Hospital.
The official data available with Early Times shows that 1467 samples were collected for Kishtwar District till today and out of these samples, seven were found out to be positive.
The administration has also shifted the close contacts of Marwah positive case to District Hospital Kishtwar and kept at Old Hospital building quarantine center. Their tests were also found out to be negative however being close contact of positive case they will continue to be in quarantine as per the set protocol.
