Early Times Report

Srinagar, Aug 9: From the last several days, #BJPFailedJammu is trending on Twitter as youth from Jammu division have started expressing resentment against Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Leadership for failing to get 4G Internet services restored.
The Youth from Jammu and Chenab Valley, on the first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, took to social media particularly on Twitter to express anger against BJP Leadership for failing to get the 4G internet services restored in the region and against the establishment of more road tax collection points (Toll Plaza) on National Highway connecting the erstwhile state with rest of the country.
The Twitter trend #BJPFailedJammu started trending on 5th of August (Wednesday) and so far more than ten thousand (10,000) people have tweeted on different opinions while mostly of them maintaining that BJP Leadership in Jammu has failed to deliver up to the expectations of general public, however Jammu based activists say that they weren’t against the abrogation of Article 370.
“BJP tried to win Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 but it seems it has lost Jammu too for many reasons,” a twitter user wrote.
“4G is a basic need. It has been more than a year since Article 370 was removed but still Jammu people have been fighting for 4G internet facilities, another twitter user wrote.
Twitter users criticized the party leadership for not getting the 4G Internet services restored and for setting-up more Toll Plaza in the region. “No Jobs, No Internet Jammu is only getting Toll Plazas,” a good number of users rued.
Another user Shubham Sharma while critiquing the party over employment promises, wrote, Only 2 JKAS exams conducted by Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) in last 6 years this is how they (BJP) are decreasing the unemployment rate as age of thousands of aspirants have crossed maximum age limit in last 18 months and JKPSC has shattered their dreams.”
In addition to #BJPFailedJammu, #JammuisnotKashmir is also trending on twitter from the last several days. JK21Wale has also released a song critiquing the BJP for not restoring the internet and for setting-up Toll Plazas.
Few internet users also came to the rescue of the BJP Leadership by saying that the people in Jammu must not forget that it was BJP that removed the Article 370 and got the erstwhile state annexed with the Union of India.
Pertinent to mention here, last month the government inaugurated Lakhanpur toll plaza which fueled anger against the party as its President Ravender Raina had promised to get the Toll Plaza, installed at another place in the region, removed.
Jammu has another toll plaza at Chenani in Udhampur. While two more have been proposed on Ring Road and Akhnoor.
