Jammu, Aug 14: Senior Congress leaders have asked the Government to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three youth from Koteranka area of Rajouri District who are suspected to have been killed in an encounter in Shopian area, last month.
In a joint statement senior leaders expressed concern over the incident in the wake of the claim of the family members that the trio had gone in search of labour job and two of them got killed the very next day. The incident demands that the entire matter should be thoroughly investigated through a judicial probe to bring the whole truth to light and for appropriate follow up action, so that the rule of law prevails.
They said that an independent and impartial probe is the need of the situation as justice should not only be done but should appear to have been done.
