‘Have patience’; Azad asks his loyalists in J&K
9/15/2020 11:44:50 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 15: Despite being sidelined by party high-command leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad has reportedly asked its loyalists in J&K to ‘have patience’ and wait for some time before taking any major decision.
Loyalists of Azad in J&K have started showing their anger against treatment being given to their ‘mentor’, Azad, on the other hand, appears to be not ‘in a hurry’.
Credible sources said that all J&K based Congress leaders, who are known loyalists of Azad, have reportedly sought directions from leaders for future course of action but they were asked to ‘have patience’ for the time being.
Credible sources said that instead of asking his loyalists to raise a banner of revolt against J&K Congress chief G A Mir, who has supported the decision of the party high command to sidelined senior leaders, Azad has decided to wait for an appropriate time to flex his muscles. He is, sources said, preparing a list of leaders who have contacted him at this crucial time.
As reported in the media, loyalists of Azad in Jammu and Kashmir had already adopted a “wait-and-watch” approach but he (Azad) was removed from the post of AICC general secretary, his loyalists are annoyed.
Azad loyalists are confident that Congress without Azad in J&K would be a non-existing force and the party leadership is very much aware of it so party high command would not take confronting with him as far as J&K is concerned.
Sources said that Azad loyalists were waiting for a green signal from their leader to give any statement. A majority of the Congress leaders owe their allegiance to Azad who belongs to J&K and has served as the Chief Minister of the erstwhile state.
Meanwhile some second rung leaders have already issued statements against treatment given to Azad by the party high-command. These leaders are giving statements on behalf of their political masters just to test the water.
