Congress- NC again on war path, Mir apprises Sonia about J&K situation

JAMMU, June 30: Fissures in ruling coalition have again surfaced with Congress not happy with the functioning of Omar Abdullah led coalition in the state and Party is of the view that the functioning of NC led government was damaging the image of the Party in the state.
Though the party in past has also viewed its concern against the arbitrary functioning of Omar led Government in the Party conclave at Srinagar in Kashmir Valley last time when Party chief whip in the state assembly and former Minister G A Mir supported by other congressmen criticized the functioning of coalition in the state and stressed that Party should pull out from the alliance.
The feelings were conveyed by Party men to AICC general secretary Janardhan Diwidi and strongly advocated that Party should pull out from coalition to save the Party from the debacle in coming elections. Soon after the recent burning down of shrine of Peer Dastgeer in Srinagar few days back and subsequent protests by the masses and bandh in Valley the Congress chief whip Mir not wasting a single moment left for Union Capital and apprised AICC chief Sonia Gandhi of the prevailing situation in the Valley.
Mir according to sources have apprised Gandhi of prevailing situation in Kashmir and asking the centre to intervene to save the Kashmir from going back to 1990 way. Mir has reportedly held the Omar led Government responsible for mishandling the situation and urged the centre the sooner this Government is ousted better for the party, sources added.
Sources said Mir a close aide of Sonia Gandhi while apprising of her Kashmir situation informed that if centre fails to intervene the things will take a critical situation. Once again he has urged Mrs. Gandhi that Congress should pull out from coalition to save its image. Mir reportedly have conveyed Gandhi that rising corruption coupled with wrong and anti people policies of Omar Abdullah and NC or going to damage the party in the street.
Sources said Mir has informed Gandhi that NC was trying to please its constituency at the peril of congress in the state and congressmen have taken serious exception to it’s sources said Mir a young and dynamic congress-man who had won elections twice from his Dooru assembly segment is enjoying lot of support from his people in his constituency and he has from the beginning opposed coalition with NC giving the previous background of party.
