JAMMU, July 12: In a goodwill gesture under Civic Action Programme Police distributed wheel chairs, spectacles and musical instrument among needy people of Miran Sahib and RS Pura in an impressive function held here today. The function was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, respectable, prominent citizens including a large gathering of general public including the members of the NGOs "Sahyog India", "SOS Gole Gujral" and Bal Ashram R.S.Pura. On this occasion, the items purchased and distributed among deserving persons,NGOs included 9 Wheel Chairs,92 Spectacles,2 Tabla,one Harmonium, one band,2 pairs Jori,2 Dholki and 4 Chanka. The items were distributed by Shailender Singh, Superintendent of Police, Hqrs Jammu under the directions of Prabhat Singh, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Jammu where SDPO R.S.Pura Dewakar Singh and SHO P/S Miran Sahib were also present on the occasion. |
