Infantry Brigade organises tree plantation drive

UDHAMPUR, July 12: The Infantry Brigade at Garhi Cantonment organized a tree plantation drive at Dhauladhar Army Pre Primary School. More than 250 Tiny Tots and school staff planted a variety of ornamental and fruit bearing plants in the school campus. The Brigade commander, staff and their families were also in attendance. A cultural event was also organized by the school children highlighting the importance of trees in our lives and our need to conserve them and saving the nature. Number of banners with slogans like "One Family, One Tree", "Each One Plant One" etc could also be seen all over the venue presenting the spirit of "GO GREEN". Addressing the gathering, President, Family Welfare Organisation, Garhi (Udhampur), V Rajamani.
D highlighted the emerging global concerns on global warming and the need for awakening of mankind towards environmental protection and preservation of nature.
