Basotra tours several areas of district Kathua

jammu, July 30 : The newly elected Youth Congress Lok Sabha president from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency Pankaj Basotra conducted four days extensive tour of Kathua, Billawar and Basohli Assembly constituencies and met the large number of Youth Congress workers and delegates in the area and listen their problems regarding unemployment and developments of the respective areas.
At Billawar, the youth from all walks of life from the Billawar Assembly Constituency led by Vice President of the Youth Congress Assembly Constituency Kuldip Khajuria met Basotra and put forth their local problems like non-availability of Government ration, pending payments of the owners of Water Tankers/Trollies engaged for supply of water by the PHE Department during 2009-10 & 2010-11 and dilapidated condition of the Billawar-Katli Road.
Another deputation from Bani Assembly Constituency led by Assembly president of Youth Congress Bani, Anayat Parvez met their Lok Sabha President and demanded that the Block Development Office of Malhar which is at present situated at Billawar should be shifted to Malhar.
The Youth Congress Lok Sabha President later met the Sub. Div. Magistrate Billawar Dr Vikas Gupta and put forth the demands of the people of Billawar and Bani Assembly Constituencies.
Pankaj also demanded the high level and Vigilance inquiry into the misuse of government funds provided for the construction of Billawar Katli Road which is still non-motorable.
At Basohli, the people of the Constituency led by Youth Congress President Anil Singh Salaria also met Pankaj Basotra and submitted their demands. Later, Pankaj Basotra met the District Development Commissioner Kathua Zahida Khan and Additional Supdt of Police. Zahid Manhas and discussed with them the local issues and urged them to ask their district and tehsil officers to remain in touch with the people of the far flung areas and try to mitigate their day to day problems.
