8/8/2012 12:36:22 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 7: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) held a massive protest demonstration in Jammu University against the toilet constructed on the roof top of Bua Datti temple situated in premises of the Civil Secretariat Jammu where as a case has already been filed by Bua Datti temple trust claiming possession of 2.50 kanals and 18 marlas land in the name of Asthaan Bua Datti. Speaking on the occasion Th. Varinder Singh (President JU NPSU) said that ignoring the fact that entire Civil Secretariat complex is situated on the encroached land; CM Omar Abdullah went a step ahead from his predecessors and laid the foundation stone of new legislative complex knowing that court has granted stay in the said case. He said that a case was filed in court against the construction of these toilets on the roof top of the temple and the direction was made to the govt. regarding the removal of the same by the judiciary but the brushing aside the direction, present dispensation under leadership of Omar Abdullah made mockery of the judiciary by not implementing the order thus hurting religious sentiments of the Hindus. Singh further said the Kashmir leadership has always ignored and cursed all the movements of the Dogras but in brazen violations of law, the govt. of the day has presented its ugly face hurting the religious sentiments of minority community.
NPSU strongly warned the state govt. led by Omar Abdullah to immediately take necessary steps for the removal of the toilets from the roof top of the temple which is hurting the sentiments of minority community.
He also strongly criticized and warned the legislators of the minority community to take up this issue with the govt. as soon as possible otherwise NPSU shall be left with no other option but to launch a massive agitation against this act of govt.
