Cabinet meeting on Aug 30

JAMMU, Aug 28: State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is meeting on Thursday at 9.30 am in the civil secretariat here.
The cabinet is likely to take up routine agenda for discussion. Sources said that Cabinet is likely to discuss an important issue pertaining to RTI Act proposed by General Administration Department (GAD). "Cabinet is likely to order transfers in the civil administration particularly of two to three District Development Commissioners (DDC) and Director School Education (DSE) Jammu besides taking up other routine administrative agenda", sources said.
These transfers have become imminent since the officers have completed their tenures, said a source. He maintained that Cabinet is also likely to discuss some administrative issues pertaining to Health, Medical Education, Home, Rural Development, School and Higher Education. It is pertinent to mention here that senior level transfers in civil administration have already been affected by the Government.
